Electromechanical Production Systems
Learning outcomes:
The student will get an overview of the applications of electric drives in industry, especially in the field of control of continuous proccesing lines and their nodes in various fields of industry. He also gets an overview of industrial drives for DC and AC drives, their diagnostics, systems for superior technological regulation, communication between the drive and PLC and learns how to set them. Part of the subject is excursions to production companies, where the student gets an overview of the implementation and operation of electrical systems in practice.
Brief course content:
- Operation principle and control of lines in metallurgy (rolling mills, slitting lines, processing lines).
- Operation principle of production lines in paper industry (paper machine, cutting machines, packaging lines).
- Production lines in chemical industry.
- Drives of production lines (drives and control of coilers, down coilers, conveyors, cranes, funs, pumps).
- Programming of control systems of drives. Technological control boards of industrial drives.
